Zoran Košćec

Zoran KošćecZoran Košćec was born in Varaždin on June 23, 1971. He began his professional career in 1995, after having received a degree in foreign trade from the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb, as the head of the coproprietary companies Forma d.o.o. and Intraco d.o.o. He was a member of Varteks's Supervisory Board from September 2003 to February 2005. Through the Supervisory Board's Strategy Commission he was actively involved in the making of a recuperation strategy for the company. He became the CEO of Varteks on March 1, 2005.

Awards and acknowledgements:
  • 'Manager of the Year' 2006 – award for the most complex restructuring process in a big company in the Croatian economy. He received the award from the Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs CROMA.
  • Award for exceptional achievements in the past year – he received this award from the County of Varaždin in 2007.

Miljenko Vidaček - Member of Management Board in charge of production

Miljenko VidačekMiljenko Vidaček was born in Varaždin on March 26, 1959. He graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. He has spent his complete working life at Varteks d.d. working on tasks in production and sales, to become deputy commercial manager in 1996 and deputy general manager in 1999. He was chief executive officer from November 2001 to March 2005, after which he was elected as member of the Management Board in charge of production. Miljenko Vidaček is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Radio Varaždin d.o.o. and has been the honorary consul general of Cyprus in Croatia since 2005.

Nenad Davidović – Member of Management Board in charge of finances

Nenad DavidovićNenad Davidović was born on December 21, 1967. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb in 1993. He has worked for Pliva d.d. – Finances, where he dealt with tasks related to investments, company acquisitions, a non-core business sale, restructuring and operations on capital markets as well as long-term financing. Before coming to Varteks d.d., he was the head of Assets Management (1997 – 2001) and deputy manager of the Controlling Group (2001 – 2003) in Pliva d.d.

Milan Horvat - President

Milan HorvatMilan Horvat was born in Varaždin on September 15, 1958. He received a degree in foreign affairs from the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb in 1985 and received a master's degree on brokerage house marketing in 2005. In 1994, he became an authorized broker agent for trade with securities.
Between April 1983 and February 1988, he worked at Varteks’s Trade Network as a procurement organizer. From February 1988 to February 1992, he worked for Coning as an assistant manager of the Trakošćan Hotel and manager of the tourism company Conbeta. From February 1992 to September 1994, he worked for the company CBB as a deputy manager. In September 1994, he started working for the Fima brokerage house as deputy manager and became the manager of FIMA, now called FIMA Group d.d., in September 1995.
He is the initiator and one of the founders of the Varaždin Stock Exchange, which was founded as the Varaždin Securities Market in March 1993 and was the President of the Supervisory Board of the Varaždin Securities Market from March 1993 to December 1996. He is the initiator and one of the founders of Kapital magazine, which was founded in September 1994, and he was the editor-in-chief between September 1994 and February 1995.
He is the initiator and one of the founders of the Breza Invest d.d. investment fund, which was founded in November 1995 and is the oldest investment fund in Croatia today. Milan Horvat was the CEO of Breza Invest d.d. until 2003. In March of 1999, Breza Invest d.d. became the first closed investment fund registered in Croatia.
He was the President of the Supervisory Board of PIF Pleter from December 1998 to November 2003 and is the chief executive officer of FIMA Validus d.d. today.
He has been the President of the Supervisory Board of Brodska-Posavska Banka d.d. from Slavonski Brod since November 2003 and is currently the President of the Supervisory Board of Vaba d.d. Banka from Varaždin. He is also the President of the Supervisory Board of Mirna d.d.

 

Stjepan Igrec - Vice President of the Supervisory Board

Stjepan IgrecStjepan Igrec was born on October 24, 1943. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb in 1969 and received a degree as a civil engineer. In 1980, he started working independently for the first time and employed approximately thirty workers. He founded his first own company Graditelj d.o.o. in 1990, which deals with the production of construction materials and the construction of housing objects and he employs eighty people today. Apart from being the vice president of Varteks's Supervisory Board, he is one of the biggest single shareholders and the head of the Assembly. Apart from Graditelj d.o.o., he also owns and manages the companies ATP Igrec d.d., Trgoing d.o.o. and Trgoing Nova d.o.o. He is the co-owner of the Lavande d.o.o. housing complex and the companies AP – 92 d.o.o. and Lovački rog d.d.

Boris Santo - Member of the Supervisory Board

Boris Santo Boris Santo was born in Varaždin on February 23, 1948. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Osijek. He started his career in 1969 as an apprentice at Kožara Varaždin and worked as an independent professional for the Economic Institute at the two-year Economic College in Varaždin from 1972 to 1977. In 1977, he became the head of the County Institute for Social Planning and Statistics and the head of the County Committee for Economy and Social Planning in 1979. He worked as the general manager of RO VIS Varaždin and the president of the Yassa Business Society from 1982 to 1990. From 1990 until the end of 1991, he was the manager of Nalcossa d.o.o. At the end of 1991, he founded his own company, Marcon d.o.o., and led the company as its manager until the end of November 2001. At the beginning of December 2001, he switched to Coning Group, where he worked as CEO until he retired on September 1, 2007. He currently works as an advisor for Marcon d.o.o.

Krešimir Dragić - Member of the Supervisory Board

Krešimir Dragić Krešimir Dragić was born in Novska on April 8, 1972. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb in 1996 and received his master’s degree in 2000. He started working for the Croatian National Bank in 1996 and has been working as an assistant minister at the Finance Ministry’s Economic Directorate since 2004. He deals with company restructuring and consolidation, monitoring, analyses, development strategies in government support in Croatia, business analyses of public companies, etc. He lectures at the Department of Finance at the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb from time to time. He is the author of a number of scientific and professional papers that have been published within the country and abroad and has also written numerous articles, texts and commentaries that have been published in the magazines “Poslovni savjetnik”, “Banka”, “Ekonomist”, “Slobodno poduzetništvo", "Dnevnik” and other daily newspapers. He presents his work at international and national conferences and is working on the prerequisites of his PhD on interactions between monetary and fiscal policies.

Neven Maruševec - Member of the Supervisory Board

Neven Maruševec Neven Maruševec was born in Varaždin on September 18, 1959. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb in 1982 and became an electrical engineer with computer science as his subject area. After working for four years at the GK Međimurje computer center, he continued his career at Varaždinska banka, where he worked from 1993 to 2000 as the head of the IT Directorate. During this time, the IT Directorate won a couple of prestigious acknowledgements for the application of information technology in the banking sector (a number of INFO medals, a Gold Plaque from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce HGK), while the first certified ISO 9001 quality management standard is established in the data processing of Croatian banks as well. Neven Maruševec also received a HIZ award for computer science in 2000. He currently works at the Information and Communication Technology Subgroup of Privredna banka in Zagreb as an assistant to the executive director for application support, with responsibilities as a project sponsor and in the supervision of portfolios of significant development projects. Apart from managing IT organization and leading complex projects, he has also gained years of experience as a system programmer, communication system analyst, in the integration of heterogeneous information systems and self-service banking. His narrower specialties are the management of quality, projects and the implementation of direct channel technology in the banking sector (card transactions, Internet and phone banking).

Artur Gedike - Member of the Supervisory Board

Artur Gedike Artur Gedike was born on February 11, 1965. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Osijek in 1996, where he worked as a demonstrator and assistant at the Department for Marketing. He is part of the management of Fima Group and is responsible for strategic marketing, sales and human resources management. His professional profile includes marketing on one hand and experience in financial institutions on the other hand. Working for a wide array of companies, from big companies, government institutions and his own company, he has learned to look at the market from another point of view by using various resources. Artur Gedike is a successful organizer and leader of teams of professionals from various professional, national and cultural backgrounds. He was the head of the Office for Relations with the UN and EU at the Croatian Ministry of Defense in Osijek until 1996. As a management member he worked as executive director at the EP64 marketing agency up to 2000. In 2001, he founded his own company for marketing consulting and became a member of the management of Erste Invest. He was hired as a marketing advisor to the Pula Film Festival in 2003, then as an external consultant to RRIF as well.

Božica Čićek-Mutavdžić - Member of the Supervisory Board

Božica Čićek-Mutavdžić Božica Čićek-Mutavdžić graduated from a secondary school with an administrative emphasis and thus acquired the vocation of administrative clerk. She has been working for Varteks since 1982, when she began working as a debt collection clerk in the Legal Affairs Department. After this, she moved to the Trade Union, where she first worked as an accountant, and then became the chief union commissioner for commercial, administrative and professional activities in Varteks in 2004.
In June 2008, she was elected president of Varteks’s Main Workers’ Council.
She acquired additional knowledge and skills by attending seminars on business communication, negotiation skills and social dialogue.
Through a decision by the Main Workers’ Council from January 18, 2010, she was appointed workers’ representative in the Supervisory Board of Varteks d.d.
