Varteks d.d. is the leading fashion company in Croatia which was, over the many years of experience, improving a quality of fabric production. That is the reason why some of the biggest world known fashion names cooperate with us. For instance, we are producing a good part of woollen assortment for Italian company Veze, the owner of Versace brand.

Varteks is represented as a closed production system with vertically integrated organisation structure comprised with yarn production, fabric production and clothes production which can be placed on market through its own chain of department stores, shops and international companies.

History

Fabric Production is the oldest business in Varteks, Croatian leading fashion company. The prior company of today’s was established in the end of the 1918 under the name of "Tekstilna tvornica Varaždin - Tivar, dioničko društvo". The real beginning of the business life of the company is considered the 29th November 1922 when the production of woollen yarn and fabric took place. In 1926 the owners had decided to expand the production to clothing production and in 1929 they started to develop the chain stores. A big event occurred in 1948 when company changed the name into Varteks and tookover the title of the biggest textile producer and exporter in the Country.
